Titled e-HM-phasis (2018) To summarise and accurately define the essence of the work, this word e-HM-phasis has the added value of including the letters "H" and "M" that can be used with double meaning of highlighting (and "emphasising" by so much) the initials HM (Harriet Macauley).
Essentially the theme of this NEW digital dance work is to highlight and present the unseen, something we are not capable of perceiving; captured and presented through film.Created in collaboration with La Sala Mi - Barcelona 2018

IS IT POSSIBLE? Performer / choreographer - Harriet Macauley
Throughout process and development I experimented with phrases of passive movements. There were intervals and episodes in which I acknowledged the inner and outer edges of my body. A process began to slowly filter through both natural and manufactured, consciousness and unconsciousness. Movements that came natural remained constant and the awareness of the manufactured and authentic flowed between mind (thinking) and no mind (presence). The journey seemed to undertake a process of intricate layers fluctuating between what I could only describe as relational practice; interactions with other objects, location, time, space, light and so-forth.

A solo section from project Duality. This work is an abstract representation on how technology shapes how we communicate, think, move, play and act. It creates a fast-paced world of technological illusion realised through cutting edge digital media - Green Screen, Live Feed, 2D and 3D animation and Digital interactive triggers. Duality allowed for a investigation into the mechanisms of dance and technology. How do they co-exist and interact in atmospheric, enveloping worlds? Performers connect and recognise the ways in which technology shapes how we communicate, move, play and act.
