EDUCATION

Lectures,Conferences and Academic Engagements

Education plays a integral role in Macauley’s investigation and research. Understanding the complex depths and varied articulations within the development of choreographic ideas, studio based technique i.e. Ballet, Modern, Jazz and Contemporary dance is a method of gaining a illumination on the intricacy and articulations of movement forms. Macauley is interested in a dynamic practice and is predominately keen to research philosophical investigations centred around the act of identifying with the Self. She attends to the experience of body as object and leans towards understanding practice/creativity as a lived experience, therefore not separate from Self.
