Decision making is about the experience of learning and the experience of not only knowledge and artistic talent but the act of knowing. I have discovered that life experience is the bedrock of artistic practice. I have also discovered that acknowledging the negative occurrences as wells as the positive can be propelled into artistic investigation and creation.

Collaboration with live accompaniment invigorates the act of performance and highlights the moment and intentions of all involved.

The ego and the act of selfishness has no place in authentic collaboration. If we measure its value it requires the ability and wisdom to know when one is wrong, and the willingness to be open and true to all that is prevalent in the process. Mirrored in the act of a relationship whether it is a intimate, a love relationship or a friendship, we should aim for equality in practice, a transparency, openness, strength and integrity to admit ones incorrect choices, judgements or acts of selfishness.

Personally I believe this is the mastery of creativity, the mastery of understanding the nature of artistic growth.
